To all the many friends and corresponders of our dear dad Raymond Critchell , it is with great sadness that we must tell you that we lost dad very suddenly and with no warning on Wednesday evening the 17th of November 2011.

Mum was here with him and it has been a great shock to her but she and we too take great comfort from the fact that it was so sudden that dad would have known very little about it. He'd also spent a very happy day reading his new book on someone else's experiences in Zambia. We all feel that it couldn't have happpened any better way.
